To Run KeySCAPE with the AutoCAD Classic Menu in Civil 3D 2011

After Civil has been installed, run Civil from the Civil Desktop icon so that KeySCAPE does not load. Open the 'Options' dialogue box. Pick the Profiles TAB, and highlight the 'AutoCAD' profile then pick the 'Set Current' button. Pick [OK] to close the 'Options' Dialogue box.

Then go to 'Workspace Switching' and pick 'AutoCAD Classic'. Once the AutoCAD Classic workspace has loaded, open the 'Options' dialogue box, click on the 'Profiles' Tab and pick the 'Add to List' button, in the 'Add Profile' dialogue under 'Profile name' type Standard (case sensitive) and pick the [Apply & Close] button. Pick the [OK] button to close the options dialogue box, then shut down AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011.

Use the Microsoft Registry Editor only at your own risk and only after backing up the registry as well as the system.dat and user.dat files as outlined for your operating system in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and in the related solution, TS66513. Run the registry editor:
Windows XP - Pick the 'Start' button, then pick [Run] then in the run dialogue box type regedit
Windows Vista - Pick the 'Start' button, then type regedit in 'search programs and files'
Windows 7 - Pick the 'Start' button, then type regedit in 'search programs and files'

When registry editor is running navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R18.1\ACAD-9000:409\Profiles\Standard

In the right hand pane of the registry editor dialogue box highlight the key 'IsPureAcadProfile' right click and pick [Modify] in the edit Dword Dialogue box under Value data: change from 1 to 0 pick [OK]

Close registry editor.

Then go to 'Start > All Programs > KeySCAPE Systems > KeySCAPE Design Studio 2011 > Configure KeySCAPE 2011'. when the 'Configure KeySCAPE' dialog opens, pick the [Reset to Default] button, when the 'Reset Complete' message appears, click [OK]. Then pick [OK] on the main 'Configure KeySCAPE' dialog. Finally, run KeySCAPE from the desktop icon
